Fantasy Football is always exciting, even when you are having a bad season. I cannot preach it enough, that no matter how bad you start, you can always come back. My brother started out 0-5 two years ago and came all the way back to go 7-6 and make the playoffs.
As some of you know, I have a Facebook page called Fantasy Football Insight and every year someone tells me “I quit, I’m 0-5”. Winning and losing in Fantasy Football can be the difference between picking up a Keenan Allen or a Nick Foles on the waiver wire and not getting either of them. If you start out 0-5 but do well on the waiver wire, you are going to win some games and give yourself a chance to win.

Last year, I had a special fantasy season that started out really bad. I started 0-2 and then I made a trade that changed everything . I got rid of Tom Brady and Marques Colston and got Matthew Stafford and Stevan Ridley in return, which ended up working out fantastically. I went on to win 14 straight fantasy games, and ended up winning the championship.
In my five years of playing fantasy football, I have never had a season quite like that. In order to have those seasons, you have to nail the sleepers. Like those of you that nabbed Josh Gordon did last year.
Here is a list of the players that I like and don’t like at each position, starting with the quarterbacks. The running backs are here. The wide receivers are here.

These are the tight ends I like currently going outside the top-12 at tight end:
Ladarius Green (San Diego Chargers)- Antonio Gates will be the starter in San Diego, which is slightly concerning for Green’s value. However, we saw the explosive athlete that Green can be, and it made us think that Gates should just completely disappear off the map. In 17 receptions, he caught three touchdowns, and averaged 22-yards per catch.
Delanie Walker (Tennessee Titans)- The Ken Whisenhunt isn’t good with tight ends argument doesn’t make sense to me. He never had even a solid tight end in Arizona. In places where he had a proven tight end, he’s used them. I don’t love the Titans receiving corps, so I think that Walker has a shot to become a top-12 guy.
Deep Sleeper:
C.J. Fiedorowicz (Houston Texans)- Last report I heard, Fiedorowicz was second on the depth chart, just behind Garrett Graham, which will get him field reps this season. Fiedorowicz has the possibility of making a real impact at tight end this season. That said, he is still a rookie with a lot to prove, so he is a deep sleeper. Unless you are in a deep draft, Fiedorowicz should be on the waiver wire for the time being.

Players I don’t like currently going in the top-12 at tight end:
Vernon Davis (San Francisco 49ers)- I am slightly worried about what Crabtree’s return is going to do to Vernon Davis. Davis had 13 touchdowns last year, which he won’t come close to this season with Crabtree in the picture. In the eight games that Crabtree played (including playoffs), Davis caught 19 passes on just 34 targets for 281-yards and six touchdowns. If Davis kept those numbers up, he’d be on pace for 38 catches, 68 targets, 562 yards, and 12 touchdowns. That’d put him top 5 at TE rather than top 3. This year I think that he falls outside the top 5.
Jordan Cameron (Cleveland Browns)- I was on the Cameron bandwagon last season, but not anymore. Last year, he had two tight end gurus in Norv Turner and Rob Chudzinski. Now both are gone, and it’s time to learn a new offense. I think he has the potential to be solid, but I’m out on him as a top 5 guy this season. I think he is going to struggle to find the end zone as a number one option.
