For the past few months after Wrestlemania 30, the WWE has suffered from directionless programming. While glimmers of hope emerged here and there, many WWE shows suffered from a constant spinning of wheels.
Builds to PPV events were lackluster and those events more often than not disappointed.
Once John Cena won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank, the WWE appeared to wave a white flag. It appeared like an acceptance that they had no clue where to go so they feel back on the default plan B of “LOL CENA WINS” while the rest of the card treaded water.
SummerSlam rewarded everyone for their patience.
The card was solid from top to bottom. Characters stuck in limbo broke through their glass ceilings. And Brock Lesnar slayed the unbeatable WWE god, John Cena, saving us all.
