Fantasy Football is always exciting, even when you are having a bad season. I cannot preach it enough, that no matter how bad you start, you can always come back. My brother started out 0-5 two years ago and came all the way back to go 7-6 and make the playoffs.
As some of you know, I have a Facebook page called Fantasy Football Insight and every year someone tells me “I quit, I’m 0-5”. Winning and losing in Fantasy Football can be the difference between picking up a Keenan Allen or a Nick Foles on the waiver wire and not getting either of them. If you start out 0-5 but do well on the waiver wire, you are going to win some games and give yourself a chance to win.

Last year, I had a special fantasy season that started out really bad. I started 0-2 and then I made a trade that changed everything . I got rid of Tom Brady and Marques Colston and got Matthew Stafford and Stevan Ridley in return, which ended up working out fantastically. I went on to win 14 straight fantasy games, and ended up winning the championship.
In my five years of playing fantasy football, I have never had a season quite like that. In order to have those seasons, you have to nail the sleepers. Like those of you that nabbed Josh Gordon did last year.
Here is a list of the players that I like and don’t like at each position, starting with the quarterbacks. The running backs are here. The wide receivers are here. The tight ends are here.

These are the defenses I like currently going outside the top 12 at defense
Cleveland Browns (Cleveland Browns)- Nearly in every league I end up with their defense. I like it a lot. I like that they added Donte Whitner, Justin Gilbert, and Karlos Dansby. Worried that they will be on the field a lot but I think that this defense could succeed, being in a division that is known for low scoring offenses.
These are the kickers I like currently going outside the top 12 at kicker
Alex Henery (Philadelphia Eagles)- I think the Eagles will be scoring a ton in a division that doesn’t play any defense. They will give a lot of point opportunities for Henery. He should rack them up.
Defense I don’t like currently going in the top 12 at defense
Pittsburgh Steelers (Pittsburgh Steelers)- The “Steel Curtain” is what the defense was called, but it’s not anywhere near that right now. They are a household name that people draft because when they hear Steelers they are associated with having a good defense. Right now that isn’t the case for this Steelers team. I wouldn’t touch them in a 12 team league.
Kicker I don’t like currently going in the top-12 at kicker
Shayne Graham (New Orleans Saints)- Shocking, but even if he is the “heavy favorite” for the kicking job, I don’t like hearing about a kicking competition. Usually a kicker who is battling for a kicker job doesn’t end up dominating during the season. So this situation worries me.
