If you haven’t been following, favoriting and retweeting everything Philadelphia 76ers rookie Joel Embiid is doing on Twitter, then you aren’t on Twitter. You should probably log off whatever site you are actually on and go to this site instead. Then login and start following @JoelEmbiid.
But you probably clicked on this headline because you are aware of Embiid and all he tweets. So I don’t need to recap his courtship of Rihanna or terrifically-timed memes of himself.
Well, Embiid recently changed his Twitter name to “Joel SHMURDA Embiid.”
See?

(“SHMURDA” sounds like “murda” which is the equivalent on “murder.”)
Well, Embiid tweeted in support of little league baseball star Mone Davis. During ESPN’s coverage on the Little League World Series, Embiid’s tweet popped up on the screen.

Sure, it isn’t a big deal. It isn’t really a deal at all. But considering Embiid’s crowning moment on ESPN was looking thoroughly unamused by being selected by the 76ers in June’s NBA draft (it was a tape delay), this is an improvement. Especially because he was, well, amused by it. Yes, Embiid, you got your fake, violent name on ESPN. Your reign as king of Twitter continues, even if you haven’t become the king of the NBA. But wait…
