Our first episode features SB Nation’s David Roth. David’s written all over the web, including the Wall Street Journal, Vice, Sports On Earth, GQ, and is also the editor of The Classical. If you read the internet, you’ve likely read his work. While he’s written about a great many subjects, from the NBA and the Brooklyn Nets, Qatar and the World Cup, to the MLB and the New York Mets, he’s perhaps most well known for his terrific take on the vine of a llama galloping set to DMX. You know, the really important, hard-hitting journalism. He joins us to talk about his terrific Qatar Chronicles series, how to take yourself out of a piece, the easiest and hardest parts of writing a story, his influences and, most importantly, why he compares so many people to different sorts of meats.
