5. Anthony Davis (3 years, $16.1 million)

Anthony Davis is another player that, based on his contributions, should be making much, much, much more than $5.3 million per season. Among power forwards, he had the second highest PER in the league at 26.54, just three-tenths behind Kevin Love. Realistically, Anthony Davis is a $15 million per season guy at least in the league right now, and he’s only two years into his pro career.

He’s only going to get better from here. In his honor, I’d like you to watch this Anthony Davis highlight video and imagine a bright future.

Last season, Davis averaged a double-double (20.8 PPG and 10.0 rebounds), and I fully expect  him to average a double-double throughout his career. Davis also has an uncanny knack for blocking shots and protecting the rim. As the Pelicans build for the future, a frontline of Davis and Omer Asik is going to make it impossible to score in the paint.
