The Cleveland Cavaliers finally acquired Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves and the team can now focus on the future.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

Adding Kevin Love undoubtedly makes the Cavs the leaders in the East but the question is do they now have what it takes to become the best team in the NBA? Right now the San Antonio Spurs are the best team in basketball both roster-wise and because they’re champions, but the Cavaliers are making a run at them already.

According to Darren Wolfson from ESPN 1500, the Cavaliers getting Kevin Love makes them favorites not only in the East but possibly in the entire league.

"I’d make the Cavs the favorite in the East, and depending on the Spurs’ health, maybe the overall favorite to win the title. LeBron is the best player on the planet, and now they have two other top-10 to 15 players. To have guys like Mike Miller and Shawn Marion off the bench is solid."

It’s hard to say how well the team will mesh together but the bottom line is that adding Kevin Love is a solid move that makes an already great team even greater.
