South Korea vs. Illinois results: South Korea takes Little League World Series title with 8-4 win

The 2014 Little League World Series was one of the most exciting sporting events of the year once again, but on Sunday afternoon it came to a close with the battle for the championship between South Korea and the amazing Jackie Robinson West team from Illinois. When it was all said and done, the South Korean team put on a dominating offensive performance once again, to claim the Little League World Series Championship with an 8-4 win over Illinois.

Just one day after they put up 12 runs against Japan in the International Championship contest, they flexed their offensive muscles in Williamsport one final time en route to their championship.
Throughout the entire duration of the Little League World Series, South Korea outscored their opponents 42-17, Heading into the top of the sixth inning, the score was 7-1, until the South Korean team provided another solo home run for some insurance.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Chicago team gave it their all with one last ditch effort to make this interesting. Down 8-1 with their final chance ahead of them, Jackie Robinson West added three more runs, but they just could not get it done in the end.
But once again, South Korea is the Little League World Series champions after putting on one of the more impressive and dominating offensive performances that we have seen in the tournament. They now move to a stunning 11-0 all-time at the Little League World Series, having yet to taste defeat.
