The Dallas Cowboys and star wide receiver Dez Bryant have been working towards a big money contract extension, but it was looking like talks would need to be tabled as the start of the 2014-15 regular season neared.

However, the latest report provides some good news for the fans in Big D.

According to the NFL Network, Bryant and the Cowboys have “intensified” their contract talks with the start of the season looming and there is a possibility that a deal could be reached between the two sides within 48 hours.

Bryant is an instrumental in the Cowboys offense, and with such a poor defense the team will need to rely heavily on the offense piling up points throughout the season.

With Bryant getting paid, the Cowboys will have committed to a star wide receiver and Bryant could continue to terrorize defensive backs for a salary that he is more than deserving of receiving.
