Jeff Fisher says again St. Louis Rams not shopping for a QB
By Phil Watson
There has been no shortage of speculation since it was learned that St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford will miss the season after tearing his ACL in a preseason game at Cleveland Saturday night.
But Rams coach Jeff Fisher said again Monday that the Rams aren’t shopping for a quarterback, at least not yet.
"“You know what I like is, ‘According to sources close to the situation, we’re da da dad a da,’” Fisher told Pro Football Talk. “I love that, OK. So no, we have not had any conversations with anybody. It’s the old source deal, you can just throw that out there.“There’s a lot of players out there that are under contract so you can’t discuss those things. But we’ve not had any discussions with anybody. Again, we’re going to be patient with this. There’s probably a couple quarterbacks let go at 75. There will probably be some let go at the 53 and, like I said, there may be somebody, a club, we may have a trade partner out there. We don’t know. But we’re not initiating anything right now.”"

Free agent signee Shaun Hill is now at the top of the depth chart for St. Louis, with former undrafted free agent Austin Davis No. 2 and rookie Garrett Gilbert third.
Hill spent the last four seasons backing up Matthew Stafford with the Detroit Lions and hasn’t started a game since 2010. He made two appearances last season for the Lions, but did not attempt a pass.
In eight seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, San Francisco 49ers and Lions, Hill has made 26 career starts, with his teams going 13-13 in those games.
In 13 games and 10 starts with the Lions in 2010, Hill completed 61.8 percent of his passes for 2,686 yards and 16 touchdowns with 12 interceptions.
Hill started the preseason opener against the New Orleans Saints and in three games this preseason is 8-for-17 for 143 yards and two touchdowns.
Davis was signed by the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Miss in 2012 and has never played in a regular-season game. This preseason he is 27-for-44 for 372 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.
Gilbert was a sixth-round pick in May out of SMU and is 10-for-19 for 108 yards this preseason.
