If there was ever an episode of WWE Monday Night RAW that you could point to and say “that is the reason this needs to be two hours”, it was this episode.
Truth be told, the first two hours of the show were not that bad. And, since I wasn’t watching this episode live (hence the delayed report) I didn’t have to suffer through three long hours of this mess.

Now, that doesn’t mean that simply lopping off the last hour would have solved everything that was wrong in this show. The most concerning part of the last hour being so bad is that it heavily focused on two of their top angles, John Cena/Brock Lesnar and The Bella Twins, as well as a budding feuds between Bo Dallas and Jack Swagger and two of their biggest young rising stars: Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.
That’s four programs that may likely comprise most of the Night of Champions card, yet the WWE completely dropped the ball. Cutting the last hour of this episode really wouldn’t have helped that problem at all; however, forcing creative to fit all the major programs into two hours would increase the focus on the guts of the show rather than needing to fill three hours.
After all, with the WWE Network, Main Event can be used to flesh out some mid-card programs and be another reason that the $9.99 is worth it. Or perhaps Smackdown! can actually have some use once again. Either way, if episodes like this RAW are the result of trying to stretch our your programming, I want something to change.
