The Cleveland Cavaliers are rumored to be be adding just about every veteran player on the face of the earth now that they have Kevin Love and LeBron James on the same roster.

But while the Cavs have added their fair share of vets, as well as been legimtately rumored to be interested in others, not everyone is on their radar. On Monday night, a rumor started making the rounds that retired veteran Zydrunas Ilgauskas was planning a comeback with the Cavaliers.

As Bob Finnan points out, don’t believe the hype.

It would make sense for Zydrunas Ilgauskas to make a comeback with the Cavaliers but it’s not going to happen. Despite his relationship with LeBron James and the Cavs, Zydrunas Ilgauskas has been retired for a few years now and there’s no saying his body is ready to come back into the NBA grind the way that it used to.

While many think it’s easy to just flip a switch and play in the NBA again, Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Ray Allen are perfect examples that such a thing just isn’t the case.
