Kyle Orton, QB, Free Agent

If the Rams want someone with experience, Kyle Orton would be a solid, and cheap, signing.

The soon-to-be 32-year-old quarterback has struggled in the recent years, best highlighted when he lost his starting job to Tim Tebow while playing for the Denver Broncos in 2011, but maybe he could provide something special for the Rams.

Compared to Shaun Hill, Orton’s played in more games and has been a team’s franchise quarterback.  In 2005, he was 10-5 as the Bears starter and he threw for over 3,500 yards in 2009 and 2010 as a starter or the Broncos.

There’s no question that he could be serviceable for the Rams, maybe more so than Shaun Hill, but whether or not Orton can still play after struggling badly as a backup in Dallas will have to be seen.
