The Utah Utes are beginning their 2014 college football season on Thursday night like many others around the country, and already we’re being treated to the talent that is Utes quarterback Travis Wilson, as they play Idaho State.

More from College Football

Right as the first quarter was coming to a close and the game tied at seven, Wilson and the offense found themselves within the red zone, with the opportunity to take the lead.

Wilson dropped back on a pass play to see if he could throw one in, but with no one open, he had no other option on the table but to just put the ball down and head for the pylon himself.

Not only did he get in and get the six points, but he did it in amazing fashion as well, with the monumental leap into the end zone.

Watch in the video provided below.

That play right there would give the Utes the 14-7 lead, and they have since pushed that lead even further to 21-7.

And to think, there was a time a few months ago where people were unsure whether or not Wilson would even be a part of this team this season. But he was able to get his medical issues intact, and now we get to enjoy plays like this.
