On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Clippers and Milwaukee Bucks finalized an agreement. The Clippers sent veteran forward Jared Dudley and a protected 2017 first round pick to the Bucks in exchange for veteran shooting guard Carlos Delfino, center Miroslav Raduljica and a 2015 second-round pick.

More from Los Angeles Clippers

Although Delfino seems like a good fit for the Clippers, they are doing what they can to clear cap space, which is why they are reportedly going to use the stretch provision to waive Delfino.

The Clippers are trying to clear space to sign another veteran. The Clippers signed Cleveland Cavaliers’ center Spencer Hawes early in free agency and reportedly targeted swingman Paul Pierce, who played for Clippers’ head coach and president Doc Rivers with the Boston Celtics. However, the Clippers are so close to the hard cap, they couldn’t make a realistic pitch to Pierce. Instead, they are interested in Charlotte Hornets’ free agent guard Chris Douglas-Roberts and also could bring back veteran forward Hedo Turkoglu.

That’s why Shams Charania of Real GM reports the Clippers also plan to waive Raduljica.

Raduljica played in 48 games for the Bucks last season, averaging 9.7 minutes per game. He put up 3.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game while shooting 54.0% from the field and 81.8% from the floor.
