St. Louis Rams rookie defensive end Michael Sam is waiting to learn whether or not he made the cut for the 53-man roster, but he has found out that he has some very popular supporters.
The boys — young men? — of One Direction performed at the Edward Jones Dome earlier this week, and Harry Styles rocked a Michael Sam jersey when he was out on the stage.

Sam has a popular jersey and now he may have a completely different fan base with screaming teenage girls running out to pick up the jersey that they saw their beloved Harry Styles rocking during the concert.
Sam was appreciative of the gesture and even thanked Styles on Twitter.
@Harry_Styles thank you for your support!!! #RamNation

If Sam is able to make the final 53-man roster for the St. Louis Rams, he will become the first openly gay player to make an opening day NFL roster.
