Flash forward a year later and the Nets have literally nothing to show for their efforts to win a title in 2013-14 as Jason Terry was traded midseason, Paul Pierce is in Washington now and Garnett seems to be on the fence again about whether he wants to return to Brooklyn for another season.
According to Mike Mazzeo from ESPN and the New York Daily News, there is still no progress on the Kevin Garnett front when it comes to bringing him back for another season in 2014-15.
Spoke with Lionel Hollins today. He has not spoken with Kevin Garnett. So still nothing new on that front. #Nets

There seemed to be some hope that Garnett would be back with the Nets this season even after the loss of Paul Pierce in the offseason but that all seems to be a lot of wishing and hoping — and not much else.
Garnett is in no rush to commit another season of his career to a Nets team that might end up being just mediocre, and he’s well within his veteran rights to do so.
