The Tigers finished the season 12-2, played for the SEC Championship and defeated the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Cotton Bowl.
James Franklin was the Tigers’ starting quarterback throughout most of the season but was injured. With Franklin out, Maty Mauk performed very well. With Franklin out of eligibility, Mauk is the man now.
Mauk got off to a great start in the Tigers’ season opener, finding wide receiver Darius White for a 45-yard touchdown.
After a Jackrabbits’ touchdown, Mauk again found White, this time for a 41-yard touchdown.
