The Iowa Hawkeyes are a sneaky pick to win the eastern division in the Big Ten but first they need to get past Northern Iowa who is giving Kirk Ferentz and his club fits on Saturday afternoon from Kinnick Stadium.

Iowa leads Northern Iowa 24-23 in the third quarter at the time of publishing, but they would be looking at a much closer game if not for the play of wide receiver Tevaun Smith who has made plays as a receiver and as a running back on the day.
Smith had 24 receptions for 310 yards and one touchdown last year, but he’s already matched his scoring out put of a year ago with a ridiculous one-handed touchdown reception in the third quarter.

Way to use the front shoulder to reel in the catch and that score made it a 21-13 game at the time but Northern Iowa responded two plays later with an equalizer to make it 24-20. And later added a field goal to draw within one.
What’s most impressive about this catch is that not only did Smith bring in the catch with one hand but he got both feet in bounds. You only need one foot to stay in bounds for it to count in college, so this impressive touchdown would have been good in the NFL too.
Smith has three receptions on the day so far for 17 yards and one carry for 35 yards.
