After undergoing hip surgery back at the end of June, center Mike Pouncey is healthy enough to not have to be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list but isn’t yet healthy enough to be cleared to play. While it’s going to be some time before he steps back into action for the Dolphins, the fact of the matter is Pouncey won’t be forced to miss the first six weeks of the season this year.
As Rapoport points out, it’s going to be a few weeks before the Dolphins get Pouncey back on the field but he won’t be forced to sit out six weeks before returning. This is huge for the Dolphins as it means they will likely be getting Pouncey back well before Week 6 and hopefully in much better shape thanks to his repaired hip.
