2. New England Patriots

There is one team in particular that has no issues with stepping in and making a move for a player that most stay away from that has the potential to be a nightmare. New England is always looking around the market for talented players, and this would be a very Bill Belichick type of move. They are always looking to bring in talented defensive players, and young pass rushers are always of interest to them.

Perhaps playing in a system that is as solid as the Patriots’ would be a good move for Sam. He would be able to learn from one of the best coaching staffs that the NFL has ever seen, and would be able to play alongside a veteran team. It is highly unlikely that there would be playing time available for him, but it is still a possibility that he could earn his way onto the field.

It would be a very intriguing situation to see the Patriots pick Sam up and have the media storm follow. New England is notoriously known for being fairly strict with the media, and that could be an issue. While this all makes a lot of sense, the Patriots are likely happy with their team and probably aren’t out looking to make any moves at this point in time.
