The San Diego Padres have found a way to spice up their boring, going-nowhere, dead-in-the-water season. Walk-off wins.

The Padres figure, if we can’t win a lot of games, we’ll just win a small number of them but in exciting fashion. Saturday night Alexi Amarista kept the walk-off trend going with an RBI single in the 10th to beat the Dodgers.
That’s three straight walk-off victories now for the Padres. Hey, this winning late and in exciting fashion thing is really catching on.
Can the Padres make it four straight walk-off wins? I kind of doubt it.
If they do, then that will be a heck of a thing. Not really that relevant in the grand scheme as the Padres still suck but, a fun story nonetheless.
Hey, let the Padres have their moment in the sun. It’s almost September and they are totally out of it. Let them do their thing where they don’t score until late and then get one run in the very last inning and win the game. And someone gets doused with liquid.
If it’s against the Dodgers, it’s a good win. Spoiler alert! Not that kind of spoiler alert, the other kind. Where a team is playing spoiler. That’s the Padres.
