The New York Jets are already thin at cornerback, and it looks like they could be getting a little thinner. Dee Milliner doesn’t appear to be ready for the season as he recovers from a high ankle sprain, one that he has been battling since August 10th.
Jets will host Raiders one week from today in season opener. Feeling right now is that Dee Milliner (high ankle sprain) won't be ready #nyj

The Jets are left scrambling to fill out their secondary, which was made even thinner with the release of Dimitri Patterson, a player who was projected to start. Patterson and the Jets had a back and forth over his absence during the third game of the preseason, with the Jets claiming he went AWOL and Patterson basically calling the Jets front office liars.
It also has the Jets looking for alternatives, such as trading. There was even a suggestion that the Jets could be targeting Houston Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph.
Milliner's absence means Jets starting CBs will be D Walls & recently converted safety (coming off concussion) Antonio Allen. Wilson in slot
