The New York Jets are thin at cornerback and made themselves thinner by parting ways with projected starter Dimitri Patterson. The Jets and Patterson had a falling out down the stretch of the preseason with a he said, they said situation about whether Patterson went AWOL or not.
That leaves the Jets looking for a potential replacement or anyone to bolster the squad. According to New York Daily News’ Manish Mehta, they’ll be keeping an eye out for anyone available, maybe Champ Bailey who was released by the New Orleans Saints on Saturday.
They could look to make a trade, and if that is the route they want to go they could be aiming for Houston Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph.
Expect Jets to scour wire & explore/inquire about possible trades for CBs. Intriguing name to keep an eye on: Texans' Johnathan Joseph #nyj

But the Texans might not be interested in a deal to ship of Joseph.
From Texans beat reporter RT @taniaganguli If Jets are interested in Joseph, I'd be very surprised if #Texans had interest in trading him
