More from Miami Heat

According to Chuck Myron of Hoops rumors, the Heat are “keeping an eye on” Udoh.

"Mohammed appears to be one of several big men on the Heat’s radar. Miami has made preliminary inquiries about Andray Blatche and Jason Maxiell and has kept an eye on Ekpe Udoh, as Jackson reported a couple of weeks ago. The Heat have also been in the market for a shooting guard, at least before signing Shannon Brown last week, and while they’d “love” to re-sign Ray Allen, the Heat know the all-time leader in three-pointers made is unlikely to return to Miami, as Jackson writes. A report earlier this summer indicated that Allen has ruled out a return to the Heat."

Udoh, who is valued as a rim protector, has drawn plenty of interest. The Golden State Warriors like Udoh as a potential replacement for Jermaine O’Neal while the Cleveland Cavaliers have also shown interest. Udoh has visited the Los Angeles Clippers.

Last season, Udoh averaged 3.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 block per game while shooting 39.9% from the field and 63.8% from the free throw line. He played in 41 games. In his four-year NBA career, the former Baylor Bear has put up 4.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game while shooting 42.8% from the field and 71.8% free throw line. The Golden State Warriors selected Udoh with the sixth-overall pick in the first round of 2010 NBA Draft. After two a year-and-a-half in Golden State, the former Baylor Bear was dealt to the Bucks in the Andrew Bogut/Monta Ellis deal.
