We are only 57 days away from the start of the NBA season on Oct. 28!

That means it’s (still) time to keep breaking down the top stories for the upcoming season. One of the more entertaining parts of the NBA season isn’t actual part of the NBA season at all; it’s during the offseason. Of course, I’m referring to free agency.

During free agency this summer, the NBA got flipped on its head with LeBron James returning to Cleveland, the Kevin Love trade saga, and so much more. The NBA season, like the part where actual basketball happens, is like the prequel to free agency; it sets up one of the fan’s favorite parts of the year.

Think of this as the prequel to the prequel of NBA free agency; it’s the pre-prequel. All ten of the players I’ve chosen are either unrestricted free agents or restricted free agents at the end of next season. Following their play throughout the season will give you the best idea of what their value will be on the open market once free agency rolls around in July.

Enjoy!
