The Boston Celtics are either going to trade Rajon Rondo or all the hype about him demanding a trade was blown out of proportion. Either way, the record clearly hasn’t changed over the years on Rondo rumors and the latest has him almost certainly being traded.

But while Rondo may have not actually asked for a trade, the fact of the matter is that comparisons to Kevin Love and his situation with the Timberwolves are already being drawn.
According to A. Sherrod Blakely from CSNNE.com, the Celtics situation with Rajon Rondo and the Minnesota Timberwolves situation with Kevin Love is not comparable.
"A league executive who has inquired about Rondo’s availability in the past pointed out on Sunday that any comparison between Rondo’s current plight and that of K-Love would be “short-sighted and just flat-out wrong.”"
The bottom line is that Rondo will likely start the season with the Celtics and things will be assessed as the season progresses. There is no doubt a lot that can happen in terms of a deal coming together that ships Rondo off, but the Celtics aren’t rushing things and for now Rondo will remain in Boston.
