By Josh Hill
The Charlotte Hornets had a great offseason this year as they added Lance Stephenson, made a run at Gordon Haywood that showed they were for real and drafted a pair of excellent players for their future.

But the future is going ot have to wait for one of those players, as the NBA debut for lottery pick Noah Vonleh may be put off until November. Vonleh suffered a sports hernia during a workout last week and required surgery to repair things.
According to Marc J. Spears from Yahoo! Sports, the Hornets will be without Vonleh for the next 6-8 weeks, which means that he is more than likely going to miss the start of the season this year.
It’s still very possible that Vonleh is ready to start the season, but the chances of that happening depend on the length of time he needs to recover. If the max time is needed then he can likely kiss opening night goodbye but should he recover in less time, then he’ll be pushing that opening night date.
Assuming, of course, that the Hornets think it’s wise to rush Vonleh back.
