Things just went from bad to worse for the Wisconsin Badgers on Tuesday. Just days after squandering a lead to LSU, in the form of 15 fourth quarter points, the Wisconsin Badgers receive some even worse news. Head Coach Gary Anderson announced Tuesday that both Joel Stave and T.J. Watt will miss some time.

Both of these injuries come on the heels of the Badgers learning that star running back, Melvin Gordon, sustained a hip flexor injury in the loss to LSU.
Anderson told SI that Watt, “will miss an extended amount of time, but we hope to have him back on the practice field at some point during the conference season.”
Stave is dealing with some throwing shoulder issues and will be shut down to let him rest. At this point, there is no clear timetable for his return.
Neither player saw action for the Badgers in the loss to LSU, however, considering the outcome, Stave could have been called upon.
Tanner McEvoy, the Badgers quarterback, managed to complete only 8 of 24 passes and did so for only 50 yards while throwing two interceptions. The Wisconsin Badgers have long featured a power running attack, but being this one-dimensional is eye-opening for the Badgers.
Losing Jared Abbrederis to the NFL was going to sting for the Badgers passing attack, but I don;t think anyone in Bucky Country would have expected it to be this ugly.
The Badgers are back in action on Saturday September 6 at home against Western Illinois. Kickoff against the Leathernecks is set for 12 EST on the Big Ten Network.
