When you’ve spent the offseason adding forward LeBron James, power forward Kevin Love and forward Shawn Marion to a team that already has All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving, guard Dion Waiters, big man Tristan Thompson and veteran big Anderson Varejao, you’re obviously in excellent position.

However, things could get even better for the Cavaliers because of a deal they made on draft night. They sent swingman Alonzo Gee to the Charlotte Hornets for center Brendan Haywood and the 45th-overall pick, which was used on former Stanford Cardinal power forward Dwight Powell.

Because Haywood has an unguaranteed contract, the Cavaliers can use Hayward in a trade, which is why Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio believes the Cavaliers will be in even better position next year.

"And that’s why I think the Cavs will look even BETTER heading into next season than this. Fans of other teams are really going to come to HATE the Cavs. I suspect they’ll be that dominant.I know, hard to believe. I live in Cleveland, too. I know all the doubts. But I need to get over them. This is real, and it’s fantastic. There’s no other way to spin it, kids."

Haywood did not play in the NBA last season and last suited up for the Charlotte Bobcats (Hornets) in the 2012-2013 season. He played in 61 games, putting up 3.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game while shooting 43.1% from the field and 45.5% from the free throw line. In his 12-year NBA career, the former North Carolina Tar Heel has averaged 6.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 52.8% from the floor and 58.7% from the free throw line.
