Sam was cut by the St. Louis Rams this weekend but it took him just a few days t find a new home. But while he has been signed by the Cowboys, the road for Sam to get to the NFL is still long and things won’t be easy for him.
Either way, Sam is now one step close to making an NFL roster and becoming the first openl gay players to do so, which is why this particular practice squad signing is worldwide news.
Sam needs to prove himself still as he’s only technically part of the team. But the Cowboys are pretty sore on defensive prowess as injuries and lack of talent may give Sam his best shot at making the roster.
He’s shown flashes, but he’s a physical tweener in ever sense of the word, which means he’s going to have to beat the odds to make the Cowboys roster.
