Matthew Berry has long been the guru when it comes to fantasy football, insight, and knowledge. He has made a living being at the forefront of the fantasy culture, and he has made a name for himself by being right a lot of the time. That’s why when Matthew Berry says he likes Minnesota Vikings second year wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson, you take notice.

Yearly, Berry is known for his Draft Day Manifesto piece, but equally as notable are his bold predictions for the upcoming season. The neat things about Berry’s bold predictions are how each team gets a chance in the spotlight, and how right he is on a good number of his picks.
For the Minnesota Vikings, turnover may have been more rampant than any team in the National Football League. Enter new head coach Mike Zimmer and offensive coordinator, Norv Turner. The Vikings now have star power in their coaching staff, and they are poised to show their stars on the field.
Berry says of Patterson, “[Patterson] is a top-5 fantasy wide receiver. My thinking: A perfect fit for Norv Turner’s offense and off-the-charts physical skills, he was productive last year with a terrible offensive coordinator and questionable QB play. All those things are improved this year. LOVE.”
That’s a pretty glowing review, and Vikings fans have to be excited what the talented speedster can do with a new offensive coordinator in town. The passing game should also open up more running lanes for Adrian Peterson for the first time in a long time.
Some other notable quotes from Berry’s bold predictions are posted below.
"“Jordy Nelson is the No. 1 wide receiver in fantasy. My thinking: Has the talent, the quarterback and the offensive scheme to get there, just needs to play all 16. With a viable run game, the Packers will get to sell their play-action to go over the top to Jordy.”"
Berry believes Steven Jackson has a top 12 fantasy running back finish in him yet, even as he declines in his career.
Johnny Manziel is a guy Berry sees finishing in the top 15 of fantasy football quarterbacks, even if he doesn’t start until week 5.
The Broncos are going to have a prolific offense, and Berry is all Montee Ball, suggesting he will be the number one fantasy football running back this year.
One last quarterback prediction, Berry believes Robert Griffin III will get back on track this year and finish as a top five fantasy football quarterback.
