Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles were scorching hot at the end of 2013, riding the Nick Foles wave to the playoffs, and they look to be the front-runner in the NFC East again. Chip Kelly’s offense worked perfectly in year one, and while Philly lost DeSean Jackson in the off-season, there is reason to expect similar production with the infusion of Jeremy Maclin, another year of Zach Ertz and the addition of Darren Sproles to an already loaded backfield that includes All-Pro LeSean McCoy. One area to watch is the offensive line, which was beautifully healthy last season, and if they take a step back, it certainly won’t help Foles repeat his ridiculous run.

Defensively, Philly should improve on what was a bottom-10 unit from last season. Frankly, the talent isn’t immense, but they under-performed a season ago, and the addition of Malcolm Jenkins should bolster the secondary. Players like Brandon Graham will be interesting to monitor with another year in a new system, but on the whole, this is probably an average unit.

Small regression from the offense, small progression from the defense. Same record.

The Pick: 10-6
