Badminton is a very popular sport over in Vietnam. In fact, Vietnam holds an annual international open for Badminton sporting the best players in the world.
According to The Big Lead, a recent tournament called the Yonex Sunrise Vietnam GP Open almost ended in catastrophe yesterday when the roof of the Phan Dinh Phung Sports Centre in Ho Chi Minh City collapsed. The video below shows the roof falling, the damage, and subsequent mass hysteria of all the fans in attendance.
Thankfully no one was injured in the aftermath of the collapse. Carissa Turner, a Welsh international Badminton player, noted that the court had been cleared and therefore no one was injured.
Can't believe the roof collapsed at the Vietnam Open today. Luckily everyone had cleared the court and nobody was hurt #Badminton

This roof collapse could have truly ended much worse for those in attendance, so thankfully we can watch the video above in awe instead of sadness.
