The opening week of the college football season did not disappoint as the fans were treated to a number of outstanding games, nail-biting finishes and dominating individual performances.

Here the players I think stood out above the rest of the competition on the opening week of the 2014 college football season and have earned a spot on the list of the top 15 players in the sport.

Naturally, this list will be fluid throughout the season as players performances improve or trail off as the season gets into conference play and injuries occur.

This player power rankings list will be published every Wednesday morning so please remember to come back each week to see where if your team has a player on the list and where your favorite ranks.

After reading through the list, please leave your thoughts and opinions on this list in the comments section below and let me know who you believe I should have ranked higher or lower and who was the biggest omission from this list.

Without further ado, here are the top 20 players in college football after Week 1.
