The second week of the 2014 college football season rolls gets started this Thursday night, and it gets started with a match up involving the Arizona Wildcats and the UTSA Roadrunners, two teams that enjoyed wins in the opening weekend last week.

More from College Football

Arizona started off their season with a win over UNLV last weekend, 58-13. Anu Solomon was phenomenal under center for the Wildcats in his first start of the season, finishing up with 425 yards on 25-of-44 passing with four touchdowns and no interceptions.

Leading the way in the rushing department of the vaunted Rich Rodriguez offense were both Terris Jones-Grisby and Nick Wilson, both of whom cracked the century mark in the win. Jones-Grisby finished with 124 yards on 13 carries with a touchdown, while Wilson recorded 104 yards on just seven carries with a touchdown of his own.

UTSA opened up their season last week with a huge win over the Houston Cougars, 27-7. The defense was the most telling part of the win, as they were able to hold the high-powered Houston attack to just 208 yards total on the night. It was a stern reminder that Larry Coker is still one of the best coaches in the game.
