Seattle Seahawks’ running back Marshawn Lynch is known for his ability to run for yards after contact. He has made his reputation, and earned his nickname ‘Beast Mode,’ thanks to the fact that he is so hard to bring down.

That’s not all Lynch offers as one of the top running backs in the NFL, though, and he showed as much on his first touchdown scamper of the 2014 season. With the Seahawks down in the red zone and looking to break a 10-10 tie against the Green Bay Packers, Lynch made one cut to daylight and then had lots of room in front of him for the touchdown.

Lynch is coming off a 2013 season in which he rushed for 1,257 yards and 12 touchdowns. There was some tumult around Lynch and his contract situation this preseason, something that limited how much action the veteran running back had under his belt before opening night, but that clearly hasn’t had much impact on his game.

You probably could have guessed that it wouldn’t make much of a difference for a player like Lynch, and he has proven as much so far on Thursday night against the Packers.
