Seattle Seahawks’ cornerback Richard Sherman became one of the most popular athletes in the world back in January.

More from Green Bay Packers

Sherman tipped the potential game-winning touchdown pass away from San Francisco 49ers’ wide receiver Michael Crabtree in the NFL Title Game. The pass was intercepted and the Seahawks wound up advancing to – and winning – the Super Bowl. Sherman then famously blasted Crabtree in the post-game interview.

Sherman is also one of the league’s elite defensive backs, which has caused most offenses to stay away from him. That means the Seahawks’ other cornerback, Byron Maxwell, will have to make plays himself. In Thursday night’s season-opener against the Green Bay Packers, he did just that, picking off an Aaron Rodgers’ pass in the second half (which you can see here).

Sherman was very excited about the interception and let Maxwell know about it on the sideline.

You can watch Sherman’s reaction below.
