The Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers are squaring off in the first game of the NFL season, which is also doubling as a rematch of the “Fail Mary” play. The Packers got into the end zone first and were leading 7-3.

The Seahawks were driving down the field when they called a nifty play you’d seen in college football. It was disguised as a read-option, with Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson faking the hand off to Marshawn Lynch, going towards the right tackle.
Wilson keeps the ball and heads the other direction and draws the defense. Both linebacker Clay Matthews and cornerback Sam Shields run towards the line of scrimmage to stop him, Shields abandoning wide receiver Ricardo Lockette in the process.
Wilson then dumped the ball over Shields to Lockette who made a nifty move to beat a defender and scamper into the end zone. That score gave the Seahawks the lead again, 10-3, over the Packers.
