Aaron Rodgers and Marshawn Lynch don’t mention Cal in introductions
If you’re a California fan, you were probably pretty upset that former Cal players Aaron Rodgers said Butte Community College, Marshawn Lynch said Oakland ice city California, Brandon Mebane said Crenshaw High School and Richard Rogers said Cal Berkeley during their introductions on Thursday night.
At least Rogers gave them somewhat of a shoutout. We’re not sure why the rest didn’t say Cal. Is it because Cal went 1-11 last season? Or is there something bigger going on?
Aaron Rodgers transferred from Butte Community College is sophomore year to Cal. In his final season at Cal, Rodgers passed for 2,566 yards and 24 touchdowns and he was later drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the 2005 NFL Draft at pick no.. 24 overall.
Marshawn Lynch played at Cal for three years. In his final season in 2006, Lynch rushed for 1,356 yards and 11 touchdowns. Lynch was picked 12th overall in the 2007 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills.
Lynch finished Thursday night’s game with 110 yards rushing and two touchdowns in a winning effort for the Seahawks.
For some reason, Rodgers, Lynch along with Mebane didn’t want to show love to their alma mater. Maybe it means nothing, but it doesn’t make much sense either.
