ESPN’s Rece Davis made an interesting ranking of college football teams on Friday when he tweet four groups of four to look out for the college football playoff. He called the groups first four, next four, more four and four to watch.
How about this? With @CFBPlayoff coming, I'll rank teams on twitter by fours. I'll call each group first 4 next 4, 4 more, 4 to watch.(1/5)

His first four were the most surprising.
Very fluid early in season. Ranks will change often. First four: 1. FSU 2. UGA 3. Texas A&M 4. Oregon (2/5)

Despite the current rankings that have Florida State followed by Alabama, Oregon and Oklahoma, Davis decided to shake it up a little. He added Texas A&M and Georgia and swapped out Alabama and Oklahoma. He included a Texas A&M team that was ranked 21st last week, then behind new quarterback Kenny Hill, is already showing signs that he’s better than Johnny Manziel. Davis also added a Georgia team that was impressive in week one with Heisman contender Todd Gurley who rushed for 198 yards against Clemson leading them to a blowout 45-21 victory.
Next four: 5. Oklahoma 6. Auburn 7. Alabama 8. Michigan St (3/5)

Davis’ next four included Big 12 favorite, Oklahoma as well as Auburn, Alabama and Michigan State who all had impressive victories in week one.
Four more: 9. Ohio State 10. Stanford 11. UCLA 12. USC (4/5)

Davis’ third round of four teams included Ohio State, Stanford, UCLA and USC. Ohio State and UCLA struggled in week one. USC and Stanford will meet in week two.
Four to watch: 13. LSU 14. Oklahoma State 15. Kansas St 16. Notre Dame. Load up the vitriol. Fun exercise. What would you change? (5/5)

Davis’ four to watch were LSU, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Notre Dame. LSU had an impressive week one victory against Wisconsin, but struggled rushing the ball. Oklahoma State opened up with an impressive 37-31 loss against No. 1 Florida State. Notre Dame will take on Michigan in a big test this Saturday.
