The Seattle Seahawks started their Super Bowl defense off on the right foot by blowing out the Green Bay Packers in the season opener.

More from Green Bay Packers

One of the most successful players for Seattle in the game was running back Marshawn Lynch, who went into full “Beast Mode” with 110 yards and two touchdowns.

Lynch was running through defenders and seemed to get stronger as the game went on, but Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett seems to believe that part of the success was coming because the Packers defense wanted nothing to do with tackling Lynch.

“Obviously we were the more physical team today, offensively and defensively. I saw supposedly some of the best players in the league not want to tackle Marshawn Lynch,” Bennett said, via the Associated Press. “Of course nobody is going to say nothing about that, but I seen a lot of guys whiff on tackles that should have been two-yard gains and they’re supposed to be the best.”

That’s not a good look for the Packers.

This is the same team that didn’t even attempt to throw at Richard Sherman during the game, so it is safe to say that the Seahawks were in the Packers’ heads.
