The second Saturday of the college football season has seen yet another game in Alabama get delayed thanks to Mother Nature. last week the sweltering heat during the Aubrun-Arkansas game saw storm clouds roll in and delay the game due to lightning. A week later in Tuscaloosa, another game has been suspended thanks to weather as Alabama and Florida Atlantic game has been stopped thanks to lightning.

But there’s one major difference between the two games. The Auburn game was still relatively close at the time it was suspended, but the Crimson Tide are up on Florida Atlantic 41-0 with under 10 minutes to go in the game. There’s no saying how long the delay will be but the game is 41-0 — let’s not take that lightly.

Florida Atlantic fields a football team, this is true information, but they’re down 41-0 to one of the best schools in the country with less time on the clock than it takes to fill up your gas tank and pay for it at the pump. That seems like a good situation to just call it a game, but that’s not what is going to happen.

Instead, Alabama and Florida Atlantic are going to return to a drenched field with empty stands and finish their 41-0 game — because NCAA, that’s why.
