The Penn State Nittany Lions got the James Franklin era off to a successful start last Saturday when they defeated UCF over in Dublin, Ireland, and on Saturday they’re trying to push that record to 2-0 with a home win over Akron. Although, so far in this one, the Zips are not making it easy on Penn State and sophomore quarterback Christian Hackenberg.

And Hackenberg is not particularly happy about it, as the ABC cameras were able to show us.
At one point during the broadcast, the cameras panned to the sidelines after a frustrating drive, and they showed a shot of Hackenberg talking to the coaches in the booth on the telephone, and , well, he expressed his confusion in regards to the game plan, let’s just say.
It has been an overall frustrating day for this Penn State team, as they currently lead the Zips just 7-3 early on in the third quarter. The offense isn’t working nearly as fluid as it was last week in the win over UCF, but apparently that’s because some on the unit might not be on the same page, including Hackenberg.
Hopefully while they were in the locker room at halftime they were able to get all of this confusion cleared up so Hackenberg does in fact know what his men on offense are doing.
