The Nebraska Cornhuskers are looking to go to 2-0 on the season Saturday following their huge opening week win last week over FAU, but it is not going all that smoothly for Bo Pelini and crew, as they are currently on upset alert at home against McNeese State.

McNeese State has never beaten one of the Power 5 schools, so they are searching for history on this day in Lincoln at Memorial Stadium. With time winding down in the fourth quarter, the game is tied at 24 apiece, and McNeese State has the ball deep in their own territory.
The Huskers blew out FAU last week and the offense looked about as unstoppable as ever during the Pelini era and under the direction of sophomore QB Tommy Armstrong, but they have been controlled today in this nail biter of a contest, that they could certainly do without.
In the game today, Armstrong has yet to break 100 yards through the air and has thrown just one touchdown with one interception. However, he has racked up 127 yards on the ground, making him the team’s leading rusher.
That is another issue. Ameer Abdullah has been contained today by McNeese State, as they have limited him to just a little over 50 yards rushing. Last week he tore through FAU for over 200.
We will keep you updated on this one as it continues to develop.
