The game between the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers couldn’t have gotten off to an uglier start for the host team. Less than a minute into the game, DeMarco Murray fumbled the ball.

He was in a swarm of defenders and had it ripped from his arms. 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver returned it 35 yards for a touchdown to give the 49ers the lead.
The 49ers drove down the field and got a field goal to put some points on the board, not necessarily enough to recoup the seven points they gave up to start the game. From there it was pretty much all down hill getting worse, if you can believe that was possible.
The 49ers raced down the field 80 yards in three plays. A big chunk of yardage came thanks to a huge catch and run afterwards from wide receiver Anquan Boldin.
Which set up this 29-yard touchdown pass to tight end Vernon Davis, who bobbled it a little pit as he brought it in as he ran across the goal line.
Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo had a disastrous first half throwing three interceptions. One of them put Dez Bryant in a position to get cracked in the back. Eric Reid picked that off and was downed at the 2-yard line after a 48-yard return. The 49ers scored on the next play, another pass to Davis.
Romo then threw another interception to Patrick Willis on the ensuing drive. This one came on first and goal.
The Cowboys next possession ended in a third interception for Romo. He threw deep to Dez Bryant and in explicably into double coverage.
In the final minute of the game, 49ers rookie Carlos Hyde ran through a wide open hole for an easy 4-yard touchdown run to give the 49ers a 28-3 lead at halftime.
The Cowboys looked like they had caught a break with a interception, but they fumbled the ball on the same play and it was recovered by the 49ers giving them a new set of downs.
Late in the third quarter it looked like Romo had made another mistake throwing deep. Dwayne Harris was open but the pass was late and it was double coverage by the time it got there. Harris was able to get up and over the defender to catch the pass.
Then DeMarco Murray punched it into the end zone a few plays later to make the score 28-10.
Just inside the final two-minute warning of the game, Romo threw a short two-yard pass to wide receiver Terrance Williams for another touchdown. That made the score a more respectable 17-28.
The Cowboys tried an onside kick, but they weren’t able to recover. They couldn’t stop the 49ers either who just ran out the clock.
