After a disaster of a season, the Houston Texans are trying to turn things around in 2014.

More from Houston Texans

The Texans got their first first chance to show they have improved in Sunday’s opener when they played host to the Washington Redskins.

It wasn’t a great start for the Texans as the Redskins struck first on a one-yard touchdown run by Darrel Young. However, the extra point was blocked by Texans’ star defensive lineman J.J. Watt and it’s been all uphill since then.

The Texans got on the board when quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick found last year’s first round pick, DeAndre Hopkins for a 76-yard touchdown to give the Texans a 7-0 lead.

You can watch Hopkins’ score below.
