Every year, there’s a touchdown celebration that takes over the NFL. The last popular dance that took over the league was the dougie. This time, it’s New York rapper Bobby Shmurda’s “Shmoney Dance”, made famous in his summer hit “Hot Ni–a” and Julius Thomas of the Denver Broncos wasted no time putting the dance to test after scoring his first touchdown of the season.

Since Peyton Manning joined the Denver Broncos, no one player benefited more from his addition than tight end Julius Thomas.

Prior to the Manning addition, Thomas appeared in 9 games, collecting 1 reception for five yards. Following Manning’s addition, Thomas had a breakout season, collecting 65 receptions for 788 yards and 15 touchdowns, the fifth most touchdowns by a receiver in 2013 and third most by a tight end behind Jimmy Graham (15) and Vernon Davis (13). Thomas’ year earned him the first Pro Bowl nod of his four year career.

With Manning back, there’s no reason to believe Thomas’ dominance will slow down. The Broncos have an elite set of wide receivers with Demaryius Thomas, Wes Welker (currently suspended), and Emmanuel Sanders, Eric Decker’s replacement, and Thomas will benefit greatly from defenses focusing on those around them.

The Denver Broncos currently lead the Indianapolis Colts 24-0.
