Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant doesn’t have his contract extension by a self-imposed deadline of the start of the regular season and he’s getting impatient.
"“I want to get it done ASAP,” Bryant told Colleen Dominguez of FOX Sports (per Pro Football Talk)."
Bryant has been talking directly with owner/general manager Jerry Jones, who already got tackle Tyron Smith to sign an extremely team-friendly deal , an eight-year extension with $40 million in guaranteed money.

The Cowboys have the leverage for now. Bryant, however, will gain the edge at the end of the season, when Dallas will have to either let him hit the open market or hit him with the franchise tag for what would be an eight-figure salary.
According to Mike Florio of PFT, there are some who think Bryant will eventually give in and publicly declaring he wants to get a deal done sooner rather than later won’t do anything to help his negotiating position.
Bryant emerged as a Pro Bowler in 2013 after a 93-reception, 1,233-yard season that included 13 touchdown receptions. Over the last two seasons, Bryant has 185 catches for 2,615 yards and 25 scores.
The 25 touchdown catches is tied with New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham for the most in the NFL over that span.
