News broke on Sunday morning that Atlanta Hawks owner Bruce Levenson had agreed to sell the team because of a racist e-mail stemming back from 2012.

Unlike the case involving former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, Levenson voluntarily reported the e-maail.

“I have said repeatedly that the NBA should have zero tolerance for racism, and I strongly believe that to be true. That is why I voluntarily reported my inappropriate e-mail to the NBA,” Levenson said in a statement while also apologizing for the e-mail.

“After much long and difficult contemplation, I have decided that it is in the best interests of the team, the Atlanta community, and the NBA to sell my controlling interest in the Hawks franchise.”

So what exactly did he say in the e-mail? You can read it below for yourself.
